IBSA announces the signature of the licensing agreement with Alpharma Inc. for the marketing of Flector® Patch and Tirosint® in the US market.

Following the FDA approvals of the two products, IBSA was ready to turn this great achievement into a successful commercial partnership and found in Alpharma the ideal partner to enter the US market. Located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Alpharma is a leading global specialty pharmaceutical company with leadership positions in products for humans and animals and it is active in more than 60 countries around the world. Tirosint® and Flector® Patch have been licensed on an exclusive base for the US market while IBSA keeps the two products registration’s ownership.

Flector® Patch is a unique pharmaceutical specialty coupling the enhanced solubility of IBSA patented epolamine salt of diclofenac with an advanced patch technology, which allows the effective transdermal delivery of the drug into inflamed or injured soft tissues. Flector® Patch is the very first topical NSAID approved for the US market.
